Benefits U
Benefits information that benefits you

About Benefits U
From Gary Skeen, Church Benefits Board President

skeen.bmpI’m excited to tell you about the new feature we’re debuting on our web site called Benefits U. The idea is to provide information for members that helps to educate them not only about the options CBB offers, but investment and savings information and strategies, government compliance issues and other material that we hope will be beneficial. The name represents a place you can go for learning “Benefits U” or a destination for information that benefits you!

The educational material we will be posting is accepted and approved in the retirement industry. While not specifically addressed to CBB participants and church staff, we hope that you will find it useful, informative, and applicable to your CBF 403(b) retirement plan. We have access to these resources through our independent plan advisor, Retirement Wealth Management, and the fund managers and mutual funds, many of whom (but not all) participate in the CBF 403(b). In the first posting, SPDR U was created to meet the growing demand among investment advisors for quick “anytime/anywhere” access to high quality educational content. “SPDR” is a registered trademark of Standard & Poor’s Financial Services LLC (S&P) and has been licensed for use by State Street Corporation.

In our first posting Joe Derickson, President and CEO of Retirement Wealth Management, LLC, a registered advisor, has passed along “Fundamentals of Investing Throughout Life,” which we hope you will find useful.
