INSURANCE
International Travel Medical Coverage
As part of your life and disability benefits through the Church Benefits Board (CBB), you have 10 days of International Travel Medical Coverage free of charge. It is part of your core member benefits with CBB.
The need
Some travelers are unaware that most medical coverage in-network stops at their country's border. This leaves travelers vulnerable to out-of-pocket expenses for sickness, injury and unexpected issues. It's important that every traveler be covered with CBB's International Medical Coverage. Whether you are on a mission trip or simply vacationing, CBB has 10 days of your international travel covered each year.
How to apply
At least 3 business days prior to departure, please go through this quick application process:
- Fill out the "Ticket to Travel the World" certificate.
- Once all fields on certificate are complete, fax it to CBB at (770) 220-1661.
- CBB will process your certificate and issue your coverage, all free of charge for 10 days of travel.
- You will receive an electronic policy for International Medical Coverage at the e-mail address provided on your certificate.
How it Works
If you have any new sickness or injury, seek medical help immediately at any provider of your choosing. There is no deductible for coverage with International Medical and there are no PPO network restrictions. Upon seeking medical attention, contact the international number 01-317-655-4500 listed on your policy card as well as on your claim form. You will be guided through the process of what to do for the country in which you are traveling. This number is the same for any country you may be located. Please see your policy for full details upon enrolling.
Please contact us directly if you need coverage beyond the 10 days or for your immediate family members at a discounted cost of $2.45 per day. To submit an additional insurance coverage for you or extended family members, pleasee complete the Additional Days of Coverage form and fax it to our office at (770) 220-1661.
